From The Chairman The Village Cup was played for on september 11, with 15 contestants taking part. As far as I am aware for the first time in it's history it was played for under floodlighting. The evening progressed well, the semi final's were played between Peter Jones & Jack Simpson and Colin Hulme & Pamela Boardman. Peter Jones beat PamelaBoardman in the Final. Chairman Mr Frank Lees presented the awards. Afterwards the evening cocluded with a Potato Pie Supper in the clubhouse. |

| Bulletin: Message
From The Chairman Work has started in earnest on the restoration of our green at O.R.U.B.C. A contract has ben taken out with messrs Rigby-Taylor to supply fertilizers and soil nutrients etc. they have visited the green and made recomendations, these we have accepted. The first supply arrived on Monday the 23rd June and the first application was on Thursday 26th June. Simon Hepponstall, from Rigby -Taylor says that within 12 months we shall see a vast improvement. We all hope that you are right Simon. |
